Anonymous asked: Do you think someone could reasonably interpret Adele's song "Someone like you" as a song about a person feeling abandoned when their friend marries and forgets about them? I think so, yet my sister says I'm an oblivious idiot if I believe that. Your opinion?

Sure you could! The great thing about romantic songs is you can many times interpret them as platonic. Reading the lyrics, that does seem like one possible interpretation, though I’m not sure if that’s what Adele intended (of course, I can’t know). With songs I don’t really believe there are ever any “invalid” interpretations.
