#55 You Know You’re Asexual When…
You have conversations like this:
Co-worker: “Why haven’t you found a guy yet?”
Me: “Because I’m not looking for one.”
Co-worker: “Oh, don’t be like that, I’m sure there’s plenty of nice [insert pastime here] enjoying guys out there.”
Me: “I’m sure there are, I just don’t want one.”
Co-worker: “Oh well, there’s plenty of time, I didn’t get married until I was 37.”
Me: *looks for a wall to beat my head against*
(And yes, I realise this same conversation may apply to lesbians or others, and doesn’t apply to romantic aces or graces who are interested in having relationships with men, I don’t mean to erase anyone, but I have far too many conversations like this as a result of being aromantic ace in a society that has trouble grasping that concept.)
